Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Senior Payroll Officer will become an integral member of a skilled and supportive Finance function. Your key responsibilities will include: End-to-end management of fortnightly payroll cycles ensuring timely and accurate employee payments Maintaining compliance with industrial relations instruments and employment legislation across multiple states Processing and reconciling leave entitlements, terminations, and employee variations Preparing month-end and year-end reporting for financial reconciliation and audit purposes Liaising with superannuation funds and managing contribution requirements Responding to employee payroll queries and resolving discrepancies efficiently Participating in system upgrades and process improvement initiatives Supporting Finance Manager with ad hoc projects and payroll-related analysis To be considered for this role, you will bring 5-6 years of solid payroll experience gained within a similar-sized organisation, demonstrating technical competence and attention to detail. You will hold a relevant tertiary qualification and be currently studying, or have clear intentions to pursue, CPA or CA qualifications. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, advanced Excel skills, and the capacity to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels are essential.
