The organisation provides longterm engineering and sustainment support across inservice assets, offering a collaborative and technically challenging environment. Your new role You will provide naval architecture and transversal engineering support across complex platforms. This role focuses on technical investigations, design change support, risk management and throughlife engineering activities, working closely with engineering teams, operations and key stakeholders.Key responsibilities include: Providing naval architecture and transversal engineering support across inservice platforms Conducting technical investigations and issue triage, including root cause analysis and problem resolution Supporting engineering change activities, including planning, minor design development and implementation Maintaining and updating transversal models, databases and technical documentation Identifying and managing transversal risks and supporting remediation strategies Undertaking technical risk assessments and contributing to risk registers Supporting system safety engineering activities Participating in verification and validation activities, including pre and postavailability reviews Engaging in field and shipboard activities to support engineering tasks as required Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure safe, compliant and practical outcomes What you'll need to succeed A Bachelors degree in Naval Architecture or a related engineering discipline Experience as a naval architect or relevant professional engineer Strong understanding of naval architecture principles, ship design and inservice support Experience conducting engineering investigations, analysis and technical reporting Working knowledge of classification society rules, Australian Standards and IMO requirements Experience with engineering change and configurationcontrolled environments Proficiency in CAD tools and standard engineering software Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders Ability to work autonomously, manage priorities and deliver in a qualityfocused environment Eligibility to obtain and maintain NV1 security clearance What you'll get in return A longterm, stable role supporting complex maritime and defencerelated assets Exposure to a broad range of naval architecture and throughlife engineering activities A technically engaging role with opportunities for professional development Competitive salary package aligned to experience A supportive, collaborative engineering culture What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV to holly.powell@hays.com.au , or call us now.
