SeaLink WA - Permanent Full time Integral marine management role Supported by a strong marine team Access to a range of employee benefits About the Role The Marine Manager for Transperth – SeaLink WA is responsible for the operational efficiency and effectiveness of daily operations, crew management, maintenance, safety, and reliability. The Marine Manager will manage all aspects of our marine maintenance planning, surveys and regulatory compliance. The Marine Manager will lead the identification of proactive maintenance opportunities to minimize breakdowns and cost and will have a strong focus and commitment to compliance with safety legislation requirements. The position is responsible for Marine Operations (Crew, Schedules, Contracts) Risk and Safety (Hazard identification, reporting and rectification) Asset maintenance (Plan and execute Vessel Maintenance and repairs, AMSA Compliance) Financial accountability Customer Engagement deliver on our commitment to government contractual obligations coordinate rosters to deliver timetabled ferry services Maintaining strong professional relationships with government bodies. A key outcome of this role is to ensure we continue to offer faultless, reliable on-time running aboard the highest quality vessels, to our customers. The role is also responsible for demonstrating leadership of the vessel marine crew, ensuring they have the skills, tools and attitude to meet timetable commitments and provide excellent customer service. About You As this is a key leadership position, you will be self motivated and results driven, and have a high level of interpersonal skills, business sense, financial understanding, fleet maintenance experience and project management capabilities to ensure success. You will also have: Proven engaging leadership skills Effective organisational and planning skills and the ability to establish priorities and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Computer literacy including the use of Microsoft software and maintenance programs/systems Analytical and budgetary skills and experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills Advanced problem solving and analytical skills Extensive management and planning experienceY You will have the following qualifications/licences and knowledge: Master V & MED 2 qualification at a minimum. Mechanical knowledge and experience is essential Senior First Aid qualification is preferred but not essential.
