Our Senior Stakeholder Engagement Advisors play a pivotal strategic role in strengthening those relationships and embedding consistent, high‑impact engagement across the organisation. We are currently looking to build our Talent Pool of seasoned engagement practitioners who thrive on influence, collaboration, and elevating the lived experience of the people we serve. About the team We lead the delivery and implementation of SafeWork’s Stakeholder Engagement Framework, a cornerstone in achieving the SafeWork Strategic Plan 2024–2029. By guiding best‑practice engagement across the organisation, we help ensure SafeWork is recognised as a coordinated, credible and trusted regulator. We also provide expert, strategic advice to senior leaders, supporting and developing capability across the team. Our Stakeholder Engagement team acts as the central engine for: Providing strategic advice and direction to teams on external stakeholder engagement Driving consistent, high‑quality stakeholder engagement practice across SafeWork Partnering closely with unions, HSRs, injured workers and their families Delivering agency‑wide forums, and events Reporting and insights on stakeholder engagement performance As Senior Stakeholder Advisor, you will: Lead the development and delivery of SafeWork’s strategic stakeholder engagement activities Provide strategic advice and insights to the Manager and Director to strengthen SafeWork’s reputation and coordination Oversee stakeholder mapping, analysis and tailored engagement planning Build and strengthen relationships across government, unions, industry, community groups and lived‑experience partners Identify emerging issues, risks and opportunities for improved engagement Develop contemporary tools, training and platforms that uplift SafeWork’s engagement capability Support engagement for major regulatory initiatives, events and cross‑agency forums Mentor and lead a small team to achieve shared outcomes Key attributes we’re looking for Demonstrated experience leading strategic stakeholder engagement in complex organisations Strong capability in stakeholder mapping, analysis and insight generation Comfort and skill using new technologies, digital platforms and emerging tools for engagement Exceptional interpersonal and relationship‑building skills Collaborative, cross‑functional working style with the ability to partner across diverse internal and external groups Strategic thinking, sound judgment and high emotional intelligence Experience leading and developing people or small teams Excellent written and verbal communication What’s in it for you Being part of a team where your work directly shapes the safety and wellbeing of workers across NSW A supportive leadership team that values innovation, curiosity and continuous improvement Scope to influence statewide practice and contribute to meaningful sector change Professional growth through exposure to high‑profile policy, regulatory and operational initiatives View the Role Description here.
