We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Gas Markets Specialist to join us in our Market Regulation team in Brisbane, QLD on a Permanent Full Time Contract. Reporting to the Senior Manager Market Regulation, you will be responsible for coordinating and maintaining all aspects of market regulatory compliance relating to APA’s gas assets, ensuring alignment with applicable market rules and procedures. Key Responsibilities Provide clear guidance on gas market compliance obligations, helping the business understand and apply market rules with confidence. Build and maintain practical compliance and assurance frameworks that support strong governance and day-to-day operational needs. Maintain and execute ongoing regulatory assurance activities, ensuring compliance with applicable market rules and regulatory obligations. Lead and coordinate APA’s response to market rule changes, managing impacts across systems, processes and people. Oversee accurate and timely regulatory data submissions and manage responses to queries from market operators and regulators. Represent, or support representation of, APA in market design and development forums, contributing thoughtfully to industry discussions and reform. Your Background Solid experience working in gas market compliance or a similar regulated environment. Strong understanding of governance and risk management, with a track record of delivering compliant outcomes. A practical mindset with the ability to identify improvements and embed better ways of working. Commercial awareness and sound judgement, balancing compliance requirements with business and customer needs. A collaborative and accountable approach, with strong stakeholder management skills and a commitment to safety and sustainability.
