The Gig An exciting opportunity is now available for a motivated, curious, and detail-minded Junior Project Engineer to join a growing civil contractor supporting projects across Sydney and regional NSW. This role has been created to strengthen delivery teams and support a healthy pipeline of upcoming works. Based out of the Western Sydney office and working across multiple sites, you’ll ply your trade supporting day-to-day project delivery, quality assurance, and site coordination. It’s a hands-on role where you’ll split time between site and office, learning how projects are built from the ground up. Learning and development underpin everything you do. You’ll work closely with Project Engineers, Site Supervisors, and Project Managers to build strong foundations in construction methodology, QA processes, safety, and documentation, gaining real-world experience that sets you up for progression. You will be trusted with: Supporting day-to-day delivery of civil construction projects Assisting with QA documentation, inspections, and compliance Coordinating site activities and supporting subcontractors Reviewing drawings, specifications, and scopes of work Monitoring progress and assisting with reporting Supporting procurement of materials and plant Maintaining accurate site and project records Assisting with safety and environmental compliance Liaising with site teams and internal stakeholders Learning project controls, systems, and best practice delivery What’s In Your Toolbox? Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline (or near completion) Interest in civil construction and project delivery Strong attitude, willingness to learn, and reliability Clear communication skills and a team-first mindset Organised, detail-focused, and proactive approach You’re the kind of person who shows up with a good attitude, asks questions, and wants to learn how projects really get built. You’re comfortable being on site, happy to roll your sleeves up, and take pride in doing things properly.
