Purpose of the Role BGIS is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee service delivery across a complex government portfolio in the Southern Illawarra region, operating within secure and process-led environments. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will work closely with internal teams and client representatives to ensure services are delivered safely, compliantly and in line with agreed standards and financial targets. You will be someone who builds positive working relationships, communicates openly, and is comfortable navigating structured and process-driven environments. The portfolio is geographically dispersed, so strong organisation skills, adaptability and a collaborative mindset are essential. Key Responsibilities Oversee delivery of the Services Agreement, ensuring contractual KPIs and compliance obligations are achieved Manage contract financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, invoicing and cost monitoring Support and coordinate subcontractor procurement, performance and safety compliance Ensure WHS, environmental and quality management systems (QMS, OH&S, EMS) are upheld Provide facilities management expertise across secure environments Prepare scopes of work, manage variations and coordinate capital and maintenance programs Encourage continuous improvement through reporting, stakeholder feedback and service reviews Foster constructive working relationships across dispersed teams and stakeholders Education, Experience & Skills Essential Demonstrated Facilities Management experience across complex, multi-site portfolios Experience working in secure or highly regulated environments Strong financial capability including budget preparation and contract oversight Experience coordinating subcontractor procurement and service delivery Knowledge of legislative and statutory maintenance compliance requirements Experience using CMMS and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Ability to manage competing priorities while working both independently and collaboratively Clear and inclusive communication skills suited to structured environments Desirable Trade qualification or formal Facilities Management qualification Experience within government portfolios Sustainability, ESD or energy management exposure Workplace Flexibility This position will require on-site presence across Southern Illawarra client locations, with office access in Parramatta and/or Matraville.
