Our Community Development team is seeking a Community Development Officer to lead social cohesion programs that strengthen connection, inclusion and belonging across Randwick City. Purpose To design, deliver and evaluate targeted community development initiatives that strengthen social cohesion, with a particular focus on culturally and linguistically diverse communities and faith-based groups. About the role Lead projects and programs that promote connection, inclusion and shared understanding between diverse communities. Work with culturally and linguistically diverse communities and faith-based groups to co-design activities that respond to local needs and opportunities. Coordinate interagencies, networks and partnerships that build social cohesion and community connection. Plan, deliver and evaluate community engagement initiatives, forums and campaigns aligned with Council’s strategic priorities. Contribute to the implementation and monitoring of Council’s (Draft) Social Cohesion Plan and related strategies. About you Tertiary qualifications in social sciences, community development or a related field. Demonstrated experience in planning, delivering and evaluating community-based projects. Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including experience working with diverse communities and community leaders. Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to facilitate meetings, workshops and community conversations. A collaborative, strengths-based approach and a commitment to equity, inclusion and human rights.
