The Opportunity We are seeking two APS6 Senior Project Officers / Contract Management Officers to provide contract and project support in this high-profile program. These roles will see you working at the interface of government, industry, and technology - managing supplier relationships, coordinating governance activities, and ensuring project milestones are met. The Role As a Senior Project Officer/Contract Management Officer, you will: Manage contracts for one of the program’s major telecommunications suppliers, including processing invoices, monitoring deliverables, and undertaking quality assurance against statements of work Participate in multi-supplier forums, contributing to overall project success Support project management outcomes including scheduling, risk management, lessons learned, and project reporting Coordinate governance activities such as stakeholder meetings, design workshops, minutes, action tracking, and document management Engage with internal leadership, partner agencies, and suppliers to maintain progress and alignment across multiple streams Navigate periods of both high volume and high pressure, while keeping records and communication clear and accurate The Ideal Person The successful candidate will bring: Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-profile environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging stakeholders across government, industry, and the community Sound judgment and strategic thinking, able to interpret complex information and provide clear advice Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint Experience in contract management, grants administration, or project governance will be highly regarded Please note, Australian citizenship and a Baseline Security Clearance is mandatory for these roles.
