The Opportunity This is a newly created role and open to someone seeking a permanent s26 transfer or long term non-ongoing contract. Partnering with one of the largest divisions in the agency, this opportunity will allow you to: Challenge existing processes and explore smarter, more effective ways of working Drive and elevate reporting capabilities across the division Ensure the executive team receives timely, relevant information that supports informed decision-making Provide clear visibility over underlying risks at the highest level Make meaningful recommendations directly to the executive The Role Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide strategic advice on management accounting issues to senior executives and CFO / DCFO Provide financial management support, budget and forecast preparation and financial performance monitoring and reporting Drive continuous improvement in budgeting and reporting processes, including an uplift to analytical advice on future financial challenges Hold responsibility for improvement processes towards best practice standards for workpapers, policies, and compliance with relevant legislation Provide financial accounting guidance and advice to internal and external stakeholders The Ideal Person You are a finance professional who enjoys partnering with the business to deliver more than just numbers. You combine strong technical capability with the ability to translate financial insights into practical strategies that support decision-making and drive performance.
