The Opportunity This is your chance to join a supportive finance team within a reputable agency. Initially offered as a 3-month labour hire contract with possibility of extension based on performance and budget. This position is ideal for an experienced accountant or financial professional from a Big 4 or mid-tier firm looking to transition into Federal government, or for experienced Finance Business Partner who is seeking a labour hire role. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing for 2–3 days of working from home per week. The Role Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Supporting financial management, reporting, and budget development Assisting in the development of internal budgets (Administered and Departmental) Undertaking the month-end accruals process and providing evidence-based advice to inform decision-making Producing monthly financial reports and end-of-month management reporting Providing analysis and advice on the financial performance and position of various groups The Ideal Person We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented professional with expertise in management accounting or finance business partnering. You will be able to provide accurate financial insights to support decision-making in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will also have experience within a Big 4 or mid-tier firm, specialising in management accounting or business partnering with Federal Government engagements. Alternatively, experience as a Finance Business Partner within the APS would also be highly regarded. Proficiency in TechnologyOne (highly advantageous). To be eligible, you must be an Australian Citizen with an existing Baseline or above security clearance.
