The Opportunity This role will manage the Southeast Asia Mutual Recognition of Professional Services (SEAMRPS) grant program on an end‑to‑end basis, including program update, grant rounds, assessment processes, contracting, monitoring, reporting and acquittal. The Role The team are seeking an experienced grant and procurement specialist to implement and manage the Southeast Asia Mutual Recognition of Professional Services (SEAMRPS) grant program on an end‑to‑end basis, including program update, grant rounds, assessment processes, contracting, monitoring, reporting and acquittal. Key duties include: Designing and implementing comprehensive grant programs aligned with departmental goals and objectives, including program frameworks, eligibility criteria, application processes and assessment methodologies Negotiating grant agreements and manage contractual obligations across the full grant lifecycle, from execution through to completion and acquittal Managing all aspects of grant administration, including financial tracking, milestone management, reporting and compliance with grant terms, conditions and relevant legislative and policy requirements Monitoring progress against agreed project milestones and deliverables, identify and manage risks, and prepare clear, timely reports and briefings for internal and external stakeholders. Building and maintaining effective working relationships with grant applicants, grantees, procurement suppliers, and internal stakeholders to support successful program and procurement outcome Planning, establishing and managing end‑to‑end procurement activities in line with Commonwealth Procurement Rules, including developing procurement strategies, market approaches, evaluation documentation and recommendations. The Ideal Person The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a proven track record of success in designing, implementing, and managing grant programs and procurements. This individual will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of the SEAMRPS grant program. You must be well versed in the Commonwealth Grants Rules and Principles 2024 (GGRPs), and grant opportunity guidelines. You’ll be responsible for the application of robust policies, procedures and governance to ensure compliance across the whole grants life cycle. We are looking for a candidate who demonstrates initiative, good judgment, and a proven ability to build strong relationships. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to effectively manage their workload, set and deliver on priorities, and work collaboratively with team members. Due to the nature of the department, a minimum of NV1 security clearance is required.
