This successful business employs a team of dedicated permanent and part-time employees, which expands seasonally to meet peak workloads. The Role We are seeking a capable, motivated Farm Hand with a focus on livestock to join our team on a well-established livestock and seed production operation based in Tooma, NSW. This is a varied, hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys practical outdoor work with excellent stockmanship skills. This role offers a balance between livestock, cropping, and general farm maintenance. All staff members are also responsible for maintaining and repairing farm infrastructure and machinery, so mechanical aptitude, fabrication skills, and fencing experience are essential. This role offers variety across the seasons and suits someone looking for long-term employment in a progressive farming business. The roll reports directly to the Livestock Manager. Key Responsibilities Livestock operations, including mustering, yard work, feeding, and stock checks Machinery operation for seeding, harvesting, and general paddock work General farm duties, including fencing, basic mechanical tasks, and property maintenance Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment Assisting during busy seasonal periods when required The Offer Tooma Station is committed to engaging with and rewarding staff. The Ideal Candidate The candidate we are looking for will have a passion for cattle and cropping, with a mature approach to both life and work, along with the following skills and attributes: Previous experience in a similar mixed farming operation Experience in livestock, knowledge & adherence to industry best practices, including animal welfare Experience operating tractors (including GPS systems) and farm machinery, but not essential Physically fit and capable of manual outdoor work Fencing skills, both installation and repairs, and basic mechanical skills Proven experience in operating and maintaining irrigation systems Exposure to Agriwebb and AgWorld Ability to problem solve, work independently and within a team Reliable, punctual, safety aware, with an appreciation for WHS Current Driver's licence required (HR, forklift or chemical ticket an advantage) Strong communication skills Working dogs are welcome, but not essential Register your interest If you feel that you're the right fit for this position, please submit an up-to-date resume along with the contact details of 3 references.
