Project Manager – 100MW Solar Farm Regional Victoria | Site‑Based Delivery Role Naavi is partnering with a renewable energy contractor to appoint an experienced Project Manager to deliver a 100MW solar farm in regional Victoria. This is a hands‑on, site‑based position reporting directly to the Project Director, with full responsibility for the electrical construction package (DC MV) and associated civil works, including trenching, cabling, reticulation and balance‑of‑plant installation. This project operates at a high tempo with tight delivery milestones. Strong site leadership, practical electrical knowledge and disciplined control of program and cost are essential. About the Role This position suits someone who genuinely understands how solar farms are built in the field — the sequencing, interfaces, constraints and day‑to‑day realities of delivering work safely and efficiently across multiple work fronts. You will own the package from mobilisation through to completion, driving outcomes across program, safety, cost, quality and subcontractor performance. Key Responsibilities Take full ownership of the electrical works package (DC MV) from mobilisation through to handover. Plan and manage construction sequencing and interfaces with LV, civil and balance‑of‑plant teams. Lead and coordinate supervisors, subcontractors and site teams to maintain delivery momentum and resolve constraints quickly. Oversee commercial performance, including cost tracking, forecasting, progress claims, variations and cashflow reporting. Ensure all works are delivered safely and in accordance with project safety systems, design specifications and quality standards. Manage daily/weekly planning processes, including lookaheads, reporting and productivity tracking. Provide clear on‑site leadership across a workforce of approximately 30 personnel (direct and indirect). Background & Qualifications We welcome candidates from both trade and engineering backgrounds, provided you bring strong construction delivery capability and technical depth in electrical scope. You may come from one of the following pathways: Electrician / Electrical Supervisor / Commissioning or Electrical Construction professional now operating at Project Manager or Package Manager level. Electrical Engineer / Project Engineer / Senior Project Engineer with proven delivery experience in renewable energy or electrical infrastructure projects. Highly regarded qualifications and experience include: Electrical trade qualification and relevant licences/tickets and/or an Electrical Engineering degree. Construction White Card (mandatory). Demonstrated experience managing electrical scope on live construction projects. Strong technical understanding of DC reticulation, MV reticulation, LV interfaces, trenching/reticulation, and balance‑of‑plant integration. W hat We’re Looking For Proven delivery experience in renewables electrical infrastructure (solar strongly preferred). Ability to run a construction program, including lookaheads, sequencing, constraints management and subcontractor coordination. Strong commercial discipline — budget ownership, forecasting, progress claims, variation management and cost‑to‑complete. Experience managing packages of $16M or similar complexity/risk profile. Practical, hands‑on technical understanding — someone who can guide, validate and challenge works in the field. A leadership style suited to a “get it done” delivery environment while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
