Drive Enterprise Cyber Strategy – Not Operations This is a strategic, policy-focused cyber security role — not a SOC or hands-on technical position. We are seeking an experienced Security Specialist to support whole-of-government cyber security uplift initiatives. With increasing cyber risk and evolving regulatory obligations, this role plays a critical part in strengthening governance frameworks, legislative alignment and enterprise security standards across multiple entities. You will influence direction, shape policy and drive governance maturity at scale. Brisbane CBD 12-Month Contract | 13 April 2026 – 9 April 2027 with potential extension $128.04 per hour Super ⏱ 40 hours per week (8 hours per day) What You’ll Do Lead development and review of cyber security strategy, policy and legislative frameworks Provide expert advice on enterprise security governance standards Drive cross-agency policy adoption and governance uplift initiatives Prepare high-level Executive and Ministerial briefs, submissions and reports Translate complex cyber concepts into clear, strategic documentation What We’re Looking For ✔ Proven experience in cyber security strategy and policy development ✔ Strong knowledge of information security governance frameworks ✔ Experience engaging senior executives and navigating complex stakeholder environments ✔ Exceptional written communication skills (Executive/Ministerial documentation) ✔ Ability to influence at leadership level This is a high-impact contract opportunity to shape enterprise-wide cyber governance reform.
