The role requires assisting with a range of operational and administrative service functions across IT and Data. Duties Install and configure hardware and software. Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring timely resolution of requests and problems. Perform routine maintenance and updates on IT systems, ensuring optimal performance and security. Undertake on the job training in the workplace and achieve work outcomes as directed. Comply with responsibilities relating to the terms on the Training Contract as a Trainee (Training attendance and attainment of competencies). Provide training and support to staff on IT systems and software. Create and maintain documentation for IT systems, inventory, configurations, and procedures. Provide customer-focused services in line with team and organisational objectives. Be the first point of contact for queries. Undertake quality customer service by providing accurate and current information when assisting in response to enquiries from customers and clients. Desired Skills and Experience Required Eligible to be registered as a Trainee under the QLD Government Apprenticeship and Traineeship Scheme. Sufficient language, literacy, and numeracy skills to complete the required online course work for Certificate III in IT. Ability to empathize with users and provide solutions that meet their needs. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. Ability to work well within a team and collaborate with colleagues. A commitment to staying current with emerging technologies and best practices. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Desirable Completed Year 12 or hold Higher School Certificate or equivalent. Driver's Licence. Additional Requirements National Police Certificate. Working with Children's Card (Blue Card) or eligible to apply. Evidence of Work Rights. Travel between work sites on a regular basis.
