Description About the Role Working at the heart of our freight network, you’ll play a key role in ensuring freight is handled accurately, safely and on time — keeping Tasmania connected every day. Primary Responsibilities and Duties Based at our Launceston site, this hands-on role is responsible for the safe movement and coordination of freight across the depot. Your responsibilities will include: Safely loading and unloading vehicles and trailers Scanning, sorting and reconfiguring freight as required Re-palletising and preparing freight for shipping and linehaul movements Ensuring accurate and timely freight distribution Working to operational deadlines and following site procedures Identifying and reporting damaged freight in line with process Applying safe load restraint practices, including correct use of straps and equipment Maintaining strict adherence to safety and compliance standards This is a fast-paced operational environment where accuracy, teamwork and a strong safety mindset are essential. Skills And Experiences About You To be successful, you will have: A current and valid Forklift Licence (mandatory) Experience in a freight, logistics or transport setting (highly regarded) A proactive approach to workplace safety The ability to follow instructions and established processes Confidence working independently and within a team Full working rights in Australia If you’re reliable, safety-driven and ready to contribute to a high-performing depot team, we encourage you to apply.
