Description About the Role Strait Link is looking for an experienced HC Driver to join our Launceston depot on a permanent, full-time basis. This role operates on a Wednesday to Sunday roster , offering consistent, structured work with a reliable operator that keeps Tasmania connected to the mainland every day. You’ll be completing pick-up and delivery of general and express freight across the region. This is hands-on PUD work where safety, presentation and reliability matter. Our drivers represent Strait Link on the road and at customer sites, so professionalism and pride in the job are essential. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Pick up and deliver general and express freight safely and on time Load and unload freight, ensuring correct restraint and safe handling Complete scanning and Proof of Delivery accurately Follow all road laws, site requirements and company safety procedures Manage manifests, freight paperwork and documentation Maintain presentation of vehicle and equipment Communicate clearly with customers and depot teams Skills And Experiences About You Current HC Licence (manual preferred) Minimum 2 years’ HC driving experience Experience in pick-up and delivery work Strong understanding of load restraint requirements Experience using Load Restraint Systems & equipment Knowledge of National Transport Commission Load Restraint Guidelines Experience with radio communication systems advantageous Professional, reliable and safety-focused You take pride in your driving, respect your equipment and understand that safety and service go hand in hand.
