We are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Project Specialist to support a short‑term payroll compliance project for a large, global business based in Macquarie Park. This role will suit a hands‑on payroll professional who is confident working with awards, analysing historical payroll data, and delivering accurate outcomes under tight timeframes. Project Overview You will support a payroll compliance initiative focused on identifying errors, validating entitlements against the relevant award, and calculating the adjustments. Key Responsibilities Review and analyse employee payroll data to identify eligibility for additional entitlements and payments Assess historical entitlements using provided data, templates, and reports Calculate leave owed versus leave taken and identify discrepancies Perform payroll data analysis using Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) Clearly document findings and calculations for audit and payroll processing purposes Skills & Experience Required Strong end‑to‑end payroll knowledge Proven experience interpreting awards and applying them to payroll data Strong Excel capability (VLOOKUPs, XLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) High attention to detail with strong analytical skills Experience in payroll audits, remediation, or leave reconciliation projects highly regarded If you are an experienced payroll specialist available for a short‑term project and enjoy compliance‑focused work who is available immediately we'd love to hear from you !
