The Company An industry-leading agricultural organisation is seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to join the team based in Lake Powell. This is a critical role responsible for leading and supervising a team, ensuring effective allocation of workloads and smooth day-to-day workshop operations. The Role Reporting to the Maintenance Operations Manager your responsibilities will include: Oversee job allocation, workflow, scheduling, and labour to ensure efficient day-to-day workshop operations. Coordinate operational and resources to effectively manage all active jobs. Ensure all required materials and supplies are ordered and available for each project. Assist with quoting, project management, quality checks and purchasing. Ensure accurate use of job numbers and time records are correct. Provide job estimates to maintain accuracy and cost control. Manage inward / outwards goods. Provide regular progress updates on all jobs and communicate any delays, risks, manpower shortages, or overruns to the Maintenance Operations Manager. Act as a technical advisor on key projects and provide expertise across the business as required. Support the investigation and resolution of customer complaints in collaboration with the Maintenance Operations Manager and relevant team members. Identify ongoing training needs and implement development opportunities to enhance team capability. Promote and maintain a strong Health and Safety culture throughout the organisation. Drive adherence to LEAN and 6S standards. Your Background Trade qualified Diesel Mechanic, Fitter or Boilermaker, or equivalent. Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in the development, maintenance, and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Strong background in managing and continuously improving risk assessment processes. Proven experience in driving continuous improvement initiatives and overseeing the ongoing maintenance of workshop operations. Demonstrated ability to lead, direct, and manage teams in a structured and effective manner, ensuring clear expectations and accountability. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven and consistent track record of success in a similar role. What’s on Offer?
