Key Responsibilities: General Duties · Identify opportunities and risks and escalate as required to management. · Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations during project activities. · Drive and promote process improvements and perform site audits and random inspections. · Provide advice and support to site personnel on HSE matters. · Create, implement, and maintain an effective HSE Management Plan (HSEMP). · Provide regular reporting on HSE performance, trends, and findings to leadership teams. · Liaise with the appointed WEL HSE representative to ensure procedures are effective and aligned with site goals. · Actively foster a culture of constant improvement, safety awareness, and environmental responsibility. HSE Responsibilities · Maintain Personal Safety Action Plans and actively promote a safe and healthy working environment. · Perform routine site audits to ensure all safety and environmental standards are met. · Proactively lead safety initiatives to ensure KPIs and agreed safety targets are achieved. Communication · Build and maintain effective networks with clients, team members, and suppliers while proactively understanding customer needs. · Provide clear, concise communication, written reports, and presentations tailored to the audience. Leadership & Strategy · Provide leadership and guidance for project teams while supporting skill development and improvement initiatives. · Develop and implement strategies designed to align with the broader business plan. · Demonstrate strong mentorship and coaching in both execution and leadership initiatives. About You: To succeed in this role, you will have: · Bachelor’s degree in HSE or equivalent qualifications. · A minimum of 5 years’ experience in HSE Management within a high-risk industry. · Comprehensive knowledge of relevant HSE legislation and demonstrated ability to implement HSE management systems. · Experienced in incident investigations, stakeholder communication, and leading training programs. · Proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent oral and written communication skills. · Highly organized, independent, and skilled at managing multiple competing demands in a fast-paced environment. · Customer-focused, results-driven, team-oriented, and accountable.
