Support Engineer (Level 2) Tickbox is hiring! We’re looking for a strong, hands on Level 2 Support Engineer who knows their way around modern Microsoft environments and enjoys solving problems properly, not just closing tickets. We’re after someone already confident working across Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune, endpoints, servers and basic networking, who can take ownership of issues and see them through end to end. This is a busy MSP environment where no two days look the same and you’ll get exposure to a wide range of customers and technologies. What you’ll be doing Handle Level 2 and escalated tickets, resolving issues end to end Support and guide the Level 1 team when needed Support Microsoft 365 and Azure environments including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID, Intune and Defender Perform backend configuration, troubleshooting and improvements, not just service requests Build, maintain and improve SOE images and device deployments via Intune and Autopilot Manage endpoint policies, device management and security configurations Troubleshoot Windows desktop and server environments Maintain backups, patching, and overall system health Monitor and action Microsoft Defender alerts, security incidents and vulnerability findings, including remediation and risk reduction Perform basic network troubleshooting across switches, firewalls, VPNs and access points Assist with project work such as migrations, rollouts and modernisation activities Maintain clear documentation and keep tickets updated with accurate notes and outcomes Communicate confidently with customers and internal teams About you You’re practical, dependable and comfortable working independently. You take initiative, think things through, and don’t wait to be told what to do. You troubleshoot properly, take ownership, and finish what you start. You’re comfortable jumping between different customers and environments without losing momentum, and you enjoy the pace and variety that comes with MSP work. Requirements 4 plus years experience in an MSP or service desk environment Strong hands on experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune and Entra ID Experience with Conditional Access and endpoint security controls Solid knowledge of Windows desktop and basic server administration Experience with Autopilot and modern device provisioning Comfortable with networking fundamentals and troubleshooting switches, firewalls and VPNs Experience with backup platforms, monitoring tools, RMM and PSA systems Basic PowerShell skills Strong troubleshooting and customer communication skills Able to manage multiple priorities and maintain well documented tickets Full working rights in Australia What you’ll get Hybrid working model with two days in our Melbourne office and three days from home, with occasional site visits when required Exposure to a wide range of customers, technologies and projects A supportive team environment where everyone helps each other and puts customers first Real ownership and opportunities to grow your technical depth If you’re a solid Level 2 engineer who takes pride in doing the job properly and wants to be part of a team that values quality over shortcuts, we’d love to hear from you.
