Fixed term full time up to 18 months Salary range: $143,076 - $166,922 plus super Up to $15,900 in salary packaging, flexible hybrid work arrangement About the role Victoria Legal Aid (VLA) is undergoing a significant digital transformation to improve efficiency, support partners, and deliver better services to clients. The Senior Project Manager will take a leadership role and be responsible for the management of a range of major projects and reforms over their full lifecycle that deliver on the Data and Digital Strategy and organisational strategy at VLA. This includes leading and overseeing complex projects from initiation to closure, leading cross-functional teams, managing all aspects of project risk, budgets, schedules, and resource management to ensure projects are adequately resourced to meet objectives set for any particular project. This role is based at our Melbourne CBD office on Wurundjeri Country. About you As our ideal candidate, you will possess: Demonstrated knowledge and skills in project management techniques, tools and methodologies, covering all phases of the project life cycle including traditional and Agile ways of working. Good understanding of change management principles and their application in achieving successful outcomes for a project. Proven experience in leading a team of IT, organisational change, and business professionals in the successful delivery of major Information Systems/Information Technology projects on budget, to schedule and meeting objectives. Demonstrated critical thinking, and problem-solving skills that may arise as part of business analysis, systems architecture and design, business process modelling, and systems engineering during the lifecycle of a project. Strong stakeholder relationship and negotiation skills and experience with the ability to collaborate with all levels of the organisation to gather requirements, provide progress reports, and manage expectations. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to influence stakeholders on agreed outcomes. Experience in managing vendor resources and costs to deliver contracts within scope, budget and quality standards. Demonstrated knowledge of Continuous Improvement tools and their application (LEAN, Kaizen), Organisational change methodologies and their application (PROSCI), and the Management of Value framework.
