What you will be doing Reporting directly to the Advisor, Education and Youth Program, the Coordinator, Community Engagement will be responsible for building the capability of Assistant Election Managers (AEMs) by delivering information sessions across 31 strategically located hubs in the lead up to State Election 2026. The role will assist with developing training material and managing events; while building the capability of community members to ensure they are aware and capable of booking sessions and have improved electoral literacy through outreach sessions. The role will oversee all logistical elements of program delivery to ensure outreach visits achieve their objectives and milestones, working directly with AEMs in each Election Hub and the Democracy Ambassador Coordinator at Head Office. The role will be responsible for: • Developing and coordinating a significant community information program for the 2026 State election. • Establishing and maintaining communication with a wide range of community stakeholders. • Coordinating bookings of information sessions with Election Hubs. • Reporting on the program post-election. What you will bring to the role • Experience in coordinating community programs. • Project management experience: planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of outward facing projects. • Proven experience in problem solving and stakeholder management. • High-level verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced business environment. • Commitment to the VEC's core values.
