Registry Support Officers work across the whole of Registry Operations, with a particular purpose to support workloads, priorities or operational requirements as they emerge across various teams and functions. Under the supervision of the Team Leader, the successful applicant will provide administrative services and in and after court support, support to judicial officers, court users and clients across various jurisdictions of the Magistrates and Supreme Court. This includes timely and accurate processing of documents and court orders on court files, as well as recording and managing of outcomes using the Integrated Courts Management System (ICMS). This role also deals directly with the parties before the court. In this context, the successful applicant will provide high-quality customer service, answer enquiries, exercise functions under a statutory appointment of a Deputy Registrar, issue court orders and documents and manage and monitor trust payments and collection of public monies as required at the front counter of the ACT Law Courts. As the Registry Support Officer, the successful applicant will embrace individual and cultural differences by displaying courteous, respectful, non-discriminatory behaviours in all activities. The position is also required to handle sensitive and protected information. Therefore, the successful applicant will be required to fulfil their role in line with legislation, policy, procedures and protocols, with maturity, sensitivity, courtesy and compassion. Eligibility/Other requirements: Computer literacy skills are relevant to this role as you will be responsible for completing required documentation and becoming a proficient user of the Integrated Courts Management System and/or other Information Technology systems; once proficient, you will need to remain current with changes, updates and contingencies. To be eligible for permanent or temporary employment within the ACT Public Service you must be an Australian citizen, a permanent resident or hold a valid work via. If an officer no longer holds a visa that permits them to work in Australia, their employment with the ACT Public Service (ACTPS) will be terminated. The successful candidate will be required to undergo a National Criminal History check. This position does not require a Working with Vulnerable People check.
