ABOUT THE ROLE This is a pivotal front-of-house role where you will be the first point of contact for patients and a key support to the clinical team. You will manage appointments, handle enquiries, coordinate patient records and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice. Reporting to the Practice Manager, you’ll play an essential role in maintaining a polished, professional and welcoming environment in a busy, fast-paced setting. DUTIES Greet patients and create a warm, professional first impression Manage incoming calls and respond to patient enquiries Schedule and coordinate appointments using practice management software Maintain accurate patient records and update electronic files Process billing, insurance claims and patient payments Liaise with doctors and other medical practices to coordinate records Prepare correspondence, reports and documentation Maintain filing systems and ensure smooth front desk operations SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role (medical/dental highly regarded but not essential) Strong communication skills with a professional and empathetic approach Proven reliability and commitment to consistent attendance High attention to detail with accurate data entry skills Confident using Microsoft Office and managing emails, PDFs and document formatting Experience with practice management software (e.g. Clinic to Cloud) advantageous Ability to remain calm and solutions-focused in a busy environment BENEFITS $70,000 package with room for growth based on performance Long-term career progression as the practice continues to expand Supportive leadership and on-the-job training Modern, newly renovated CBD practice Christmas bonus (performance-based) Regular team social events including Christmas celebrations and Melbourne Cup festivities OUR RECRUITMENT PROCESS At Lotus People, we are committed to fostering diversity, equity and inclusion.
