Information Technology Services (ITS) Full time, fixed-term position through to December 2027 Base salary will be in the range $138,006 - $145,943 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 9) Based at our St Lucia location About This Opportunity The Senior Project Manager leads the delivery of large-scale, transformative IT infrastructure projects that are critical to the successful implementation of the University’s Technology Master Plan. Working closely with senior leaders, business units and technical teams, this role is responsible for shaping initiatives from early concept through to delivery, ensuring projects are well-governed, financially sound and aligned to strategic objectives. You will operate in a complex environment, balancing stakeholder expectations, technical constraints and delivery risk to achieve sustainable outcomes. Key responsibilities will include: Lead the end-to-end delivery of strategic IT infrastructure projects, including scope definition, planning, budgeting, procurement and implementation. Engage with senior stakeholders and business units to assess impacts, manage risks and ensure projects align with organisational priorities. Establish and maintain robust project governance, reporting and financial management in line with PMBOK, PRINCE2 and organisational frameworks. Coordinate project teams, vendors and partners, supporting effective communication, change adoption and successful delivery outcomes. You bring a strategic mindset, excellent stakeholder management skills and a disciplined approach to governance and delivery, while remaining adaptable and outcomes-focused. To be successful in this role, you will have: Postgraduate qualifications with extensive relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience Demonstrated expertise in project management methodologies such as PMBOK and PRINCE2 A strong track record delivering large-scale IT or IT infrastructure projects across domains such as networks, communications, storage and compute Highly developed stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and build trusted relationships at senior levels Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing business cases, reports and executive-level presentations Experience managing budgets, financial risks and procurement activities within complex project environments Proven capability leading and coordinating small project teams and multidisciplinary contributors Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes on time and within budget Appointment to this role is subject to the successful completion of relevant pre-employment checks, which may include verification of the right to work in Australia, qualifications, and criminal history checks.
