Innovation at McNab isn’t a buzzword, it’s deliberate, practical, and constantly evolving. From building our own internal ChatGPT, to exploring robotics on site, to developing proprietary products that drive real productivity, innovation at McNab is focused on delivery. We focus on solutions that move faster, work smarter, and deliver certainty for our teams and clients. Join our Innovation & Growth team as a Product Project Officer and support the delivery of new products from prototype through to market-ready solutions. This is a delivery-focused role, suited to someone who thrives in complexity, stays calm under pressure, and enjoys providing technical solutions. You’ll work closely with our Innovation & Growth Project Manager, internal project teams, offshore suppliers, and logistics partners to ensure products are tested, refined, and confidently rolled out into live environments. This is a newly created role and a great opportunity to be part of a team that is shaping how McNab brings innovative products to market. About the Role As Product Project Officer, you’ll oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle from early prototypes and live trials through to sellable products. You’ll be the connector between people, systems, suppliers, and data, ensuring progress continues even when there are technical challenges. This role is hands-on, analytical, and operational. It is not a creative product design role, the success comes from execution, structure, and confident problem-solving. Key Responsibilities Manage product development timelines, milestones, and deliverables from prototype through to rollout Build rapport and manage relationships with internal teams, offshore suppliers, and logistics partners, ensuring clear communication between all stakeholders Coordinate live product trials on site, including preparation, execution, reporting, and feedback Troubleshoot technical issues during trials and testing, working through solutions methodically Maintain accurate project data, documentation, and reporting across systems Track budgets, invoicing, and financial reporting related to product development activities Coordinate logistics, freight, and delivery of prototypes and production items Liaise across teams to ensure confidence in the product — even when outcomes are still being validated Support engineering certification, testing readiness, and compliance documentation About You You bring a calm, considered approach to your work and are comfortable operating in environments where things are still being tested or refined. When challenges arise, you don’t rush or gloss over details. You take the time to understand the issue, ask the right questions, and work through practical solutions. You’re confident communicating product progress and outcomes, even when there’s some uncertainty, and you’re able to build trust with project teams by providing clarity and reassurance. You think beyond individual tasks, taking a systems and process-driven approach to delivery, and you’re comfortable troubleshooting technical or delivery issues without escalating pressure. You’re motivated by seeing work move from concept through to real-world application and take pride in delivering outcomes that stand up in live environments.
