The Opportunity This opportunity is being offered as a 12-month non-ongoing contract with strong potential to extend or become permanent. You will be working under managers who has had extensive experience in Federal government and provide strong mentorship and career development opportunities for their team. The Role Key responsibilities include: Develop, prepare, and consolidate annual internal and external budgets in line with organisational priorities and government requirements Monitor and report on budget performance, analysing variances between actuals and forecasts for internal management and external stakeholders Prepare submissions, proposals, and supporting documentation for external budget approvals, including engagement with Treasury and Finance Manage funding for internal operations, grants, and external programs, ensuring expenditure aligns with approved budgets and conditions Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support budget management and reporting requirements The Ideal Person You are a high-performing CA/CPA qualified Management Accountant with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex, ‘grey’ areas. You have experience in internal or external budgeting and reporting, providing insights that support informed decision-making. You are a collaborative team player who can mentor others, deliver high-quality financial information, and build strong stakeholder relationships. Known to be an excellent communicator, you combine technical expertise with the ability to drive financial excellence.
