The key duties of the position include The Role This APS 6 Quality Assurance Contract Administrator role is a busy and highly rewarding role within the Directorate of Quality, Assurance and Compliance. The successful applicant will undertake a number of key duties including, but not limited to: Provide expert oversight of procurement, contracting and panel management activities, including Defence Infrastructure Panels and the Defence Suite of Facilities Contracts; Support Director led management of the Directorate's compliance and quality framework; Provide expert procurement and contract management advice in relation to panel arrangements, ensuring compliance with Defence and whole of government frameworks; Lead and deliver quality and reform activities, including assurance reviews, to validate compliance and identify continuous improvement opportunities; Manage and implement change management actions arising from policy or business process updates, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement and implementation; Provide clear, well-reasoned policy advice and manage Director assigned taskings, exercising sound judgement to deliver high quality outcomes within required timeframes. This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Collective Agreement (DECA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. For further information, please contact the contact officer. About our Team Capital Facilities and Infrastructure Branch (CFI) is a Branch within Security and Estate Group (SEG). It is responsible for planning, designing and constructing capital works across the Defence estate. These works are essential in ensuring Defence's facilities and infrastructure are safe, compliant, and fit-for-purpose, and effectively support Defence capability. Within this Branch is the Directorate of Quality Assurance and Compliance (DQAC) who manage the procurement, contracting and compliance framework that support the core role of the Branch. In this, they manage a range of procedures, resources and tools that support the delivery of projects. They also apply a program of activities to validate ongoing compliance and to drive an active approach to continuous improvement. Additionally, the Directorate manages and maintains three significant whole of Government services panels and manages and administers the Defence Suite of Facilities Contracts that is also used by whole of Government areas.
