The key duties of the position include The Role An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic motivated individual to join our team. In conjunction with your lead you support planning and execution of stakeholder engagement across Defence, including the development and implementation of communication and change methodologies and coordination of cross-functional working groups. The position provides input into policy and strategy development embedding data FIC across Defence and applying its principles. Tasks include: Engaging effectively with stakeholders; Process improvement, including establishing tools and measures to enable capability project outcomes; Supporting data FIC change and integration program management, including integration into Defence policy and strategic objectives; Supporting project capability realisation, monitoring progress against project capability milestones, including lessons learned and benefits assessment; Assist developing frameworks, processes and guidance (e.g. handbooks, templates, FAQs), including maintaining project registers and reporting; Complex problem solving, risk and issues management; Developing and drafting high-quality artefacts to support project, program and capability outcomes. It is the hub of a federated approach to uplift Defence's ability to generate insights from data and make better-informed decisions. Our goal is to lead by example and support Groups and Services across Defence to better govern, trust, discover, use and share their data. The Data Capability Assurance and Enterprise Integration Directorate, in the Data Governance and Services Branch, is driving the integration of the relatively new data as a Fundamental Input to Capability (data FIC) across Defence which supports decision superiority, operational readiness and enterprise efficiency for data in Defence capabilities.
