Location: Canberra Clearance: Australian Citizenship required; Baseline Security Clearance preferred e are seeking experienced ICT Project Managers to deliver inflight FY25/26 projects and future initiatives across: Corporate applications & ERP (Finance, HR, Procurement, Grants, Asset Management) Infrastructure platforms (cloud hosting, migration, cyber security uplift, networking) Data & analytics (enterprise data platforms, integration, reporting) Custom software delivery (web/mobile apps, APIs, microservices) You will manage end‑to‑end delivery using fit‑for‑purpose methodologies (Prince2, Agile, SAFe, hybrid), lead multi‑disciplinary teams and vendors, and ensure outcomes are achieved under robust governance. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver ICT projects in line with departmental methodologies (Prince2/Agile/SAFe/hybrid) from initiation to closure. Lead multi‑disciplinary teams (BAs, architects, engineers, devs/test, data, change) and coordinate 3rd‑party vendors/SIs to deliver scope, quality, schedule, and budget. Establish governance and project controls: project plans, stage gates, RAID, dependency maps, IM/Schedule, change control, and quality management. Manage scope & schedule using integrated schedules and critical‑path tracking; re‑baseline when warranted and manage inter‑project dependencies. Financial management: build/track budgets, forecasts, accruals, and CapEx/OpEx profiles; maintain commercial discipline across contracts and SoWs. Stakeholder engagement: partner with business owners, PMO, Architecture, Cyber, Data, and Corporate Services; manage expectations and decisions. Reporting: prepare and present concise reports/briefs to Senior Executives, Program/Project Boards, committees, and assurance reviews. Risk & issue management: proactively identify, mitigate, and escalate; run options analysis and decision forums as needed. Assurance & compliance: align with PMO standards, security, privacy, and records obligations; support audits and Gateway/health checks. Continuous improvement: contribute delivery capability across broader programs, uplift practices, and embed lessons learned. Requirements Essential Criteria Demonstrated experience delivering large and/or complex ICT projects or corporate ICT transformation programs. Multi‑project capability with proven ability to prioritise, sequence, and manage interdependencies in complex environments. Methodology fluency: able to select and tailor Waterfall, Agile, SAFe, Prince2/MSP approaches to context and risk. End‑to‑end delivery management: initiation & closure; scope & schedule; budget & financials; governance reporting; risks/issues; escalation. Team leadership: ability to build and lead multi‑disciplinary teams, foster collaborative cultures, and deliver through change. Vendor management: experience with engaging, contracting, and governing 3rd‑party suppliers to outcomes and SLAs. Communication excellence: strong written/oral skills; board papers, briefs, decision logs; ability to translate technical complexity. Resilience & flexibility: proven ability to operate under pressure, resolve ambiguity, and deliver in challenging timeframes. Desirable Criteria ERP delivery experience (e.g., Finance, HR/Payroll, Procurement, Grants, Asset/Work Management), including integrations and data migration. Agile credentials: SAFe (e.g., SA, RTE, PO/PM) and/or Scrum Master certification with practical PI planning and ART exposure. Project management qualifications: Prince2, PMBOK/PMP, MSP, AgilePM or equivalent. Experience across cloud platforms , cyber security uplift , data platforms/analytics , and modern engineering (CI/CD, DevSecOps, APIs).
