Location: Canberra Clearance: Australian Citizenship required; Baseline Security Clearance preferred We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of ICT initiatives, including planning, governance, stakeholder management, and delivery oversight across internal and vendor teams. You will: Manage the delivery of departmental project(s) following the department’s project management methodologies (such as Prince2, Agile, SAFe, hybrid). Provide guidance and leadership to a multi-disciplinary project team, 3 rd party vendors, and/or other departmental teams to deliver projects. Undertake project governance, including, but not limited to: project initiation and closure, scope, schedule and delivery timeframe management, reporting and presenting to Senior Executives, Program/Project Boards, and other governance bodies, budget and financial management and reporting, and active management of risks and issues. Provide delivery capability across the broader programs of work as directed by the department and/or the Project Management Office. Requirements Essential criteria Weighting 1. Project Management experience in delivery of a large and/or complex ICT Project(s). • Ability to work across multiple projects. • Ability to use, adapt, and work across various delivery methodologies to successfully deliver program outcomes (such as waterfall, Agile, SAFe, Prince, MSP, etc). 25% 2. Proven capability in managing all aspects of a project to ensure successful outcomes, including; • project initiation and closure, • scope and schedule, • budget and financial management, • reporting and presenting to Senior Executives, Project Boards, and other governance bodies, • risks and issues, and • escalation. 25% 3. Demonstrated ability to build and lead a multi-disciplinary team to effectively deliver results and positively respond to change. • Ability to develop a collaborative team culture that operates effectively to deliver results. • Demonstrated experience with engaging and managing 3rd party vendors and contracts to ensure successful delivery of requirements. 25% 4. Well-developed communication skills: • Experience developing and presenting board papers and briefing material to stakeholders at all levels. • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders. • Demonstrated personal resilience and proven ability to handle ambiguity and conflicting priorities to successfully deliver under pressure. 25% Desirable criteria 1. 1. Capability and experience in delivering large corporate software projects, such as ERP implementations. 2. 2. SAFe Agile and/or Scrum Master experience and qualifications are highly desirable 3. 3. Project management qualifications and certification are highly desirable.
