Flexible location hybrid work arrangements Full-time and fixed-term (until End of September 2026) HEW 8 $118,801 - $136,018 17% Superannuation About the position: The Consultant, Information Strategy supports the implementation of initiatives that optimise Deakin’s use of information and data at an enterprise level. The role focuses on strengthening data enablement through strategy, governance, and foundational artefacts that support effective implementation and use of the University’s enterprise data platforms. As a Consultant, Information Strategy you will: Contribute to the implementation of enterprise information and data strategies that align with the organisation’s goals and objectives. Analyse current information, data and data enablement practices to identify areas for improvement and optimisation. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and ensure that information strategies support these requirements effectively. Provide expert advice on best practices for information management, data governance, and technology solutions. Participate in strategy and governance conversations associated with enterprise data platforms, ensuring business and policy considerations are well represented. Support enterprise initiatives related to data platform enablement, including the development of foundational artefacts such as principles, frameworks, standards, and reference practices. To be successful, you’ll have: Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or Extensive experience and management expertise; or An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training Experience in developing and implementing information strategies, preferably within a large organisation. Strong understanding of information management, data governance, and technology solutions.
