Description The Redpath Group is one of the largest underground mining contractors in the world with more than 10,000 employees working across the 5 continents. We specialise in the shaft sinking, mine development, contract mining, raise boring, underground construction, coal mining, engineering & technical services and specialty services to the underground industry. Currently we are in the look for an experience Project Manager for our Mogalakwena Underground Project in South Africa. This role would be 6 week on, 4 weeks off; FIFO from any city in Australia or New Zealand. Responsibilities The project manager for Mogalakwena would be a professional who is passionate about sharing skills and knowledge of Australian mining methods and processes to transfer to the South African workforce. The main role is to achieve project objectives and targets to ensure the successful execution of the project scope; this includes conducting project planning, managing and resourcing, ensuring the HSEQ systems are successfully complied with, contract administration, the administration of cost control systems, managing the commercial interest, tracking deliverables and providing overall leadership and direction to the team. Qualifications Degree in Mining Engineering. Experience working as an expatriate will be highly regarded. 5 years Underground Hardrock Mining Experience. Ability and willingness to transfer/mentor their skills & knowledge to South African personnel. All valid and relevant qualifications, certificates and licences. Adherence to all company safety standards, policies and procedures. A valid International Manual Driver's Licence, or the ability to obtain one A valid National Police Clearance (within 6 months).
