Description Wood delivers maintenance and turnaround services for the Ampol Lytton Refinery and is seeking experienced E&I Supervisors for the upcoming mid-year FCCU shutdown. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, high-performing supervisory team working on a major refinery event, commencing at the beginning of May for approximately 12-14 weeks. LI-Site The Role You will be required to provide leadership and to safely execute planned shutdown activities in line with Wood’s responsibilities and scope of work, while reporting to our T&I Leads and Superintendents. This is a Brisbane-based role, with locally based applicants preferred at this time, however, consideration will be given to those living outside of Southeast Queensland with the required skillset and experience. Where applicable return flights, accommodation, car hire and LAHA are provided. We will only consider applications from Australian citizens or those with the required permit/VISA for this region, in place. Responsibilities Foster and maintain a collaborative, high-performing and client-oriented culture of safety, continuous improvement and effectively lead clients’ workforce to support delivery of the contract’s strategic objectives Understand, work to and ensure the compliance with the clients Permit to Work System Ensure all SWMS (Safe Work Method Statements) are developed, reviewed and understood and all associated paperwork is satisfactorily completed Ensure timely resolution of safety issues and provide communication and consultation of safety related matters with work teams Keep informed with all Wood internal HSE updates and communicate to direct team i.e.: Life Saving Rules, Safety Shield Deliver daily pre-start to E&I team Reporting all incidents using Loss Prevention System (LPS) Lead & participate in investigations and implementation of assigned actions and communicating team incidents/ lessons learned at weekly site safety meeting Maintain a zero tolerance for unsafe acts or behaviours and implement and deliver the just and fair culture process as required Initiate safety, quality and environmental processes within the area(s) of control, including toolbox meetings, inspections, and the identification, assessment and control of risks in accordance Wood and clients’ requirements. Experience & Skills Shutdown experience in O&G or heavy industry is an advantage Experience in directing and assigning the appropriate resources to complete tasks to ensure delivery of quality work and to avoid rework is essential Understanding of ELV, LV and HV circuits and feeds. Ability to interpret electrical schematics, loop drawings, Hazardous Area zoning drawings and P&IDs Experience in providing technical advice to technicians where required Ability to prioritise, schedule and monitor works undertaken by trades, optimising the use of resources to provide timely and cost-effective services. Qualifications Recognised Trade certificate and QLD Electrical trade licence is essential (Electrical Mechanic, Electrical Fitter/Mechanic, Instrumentation) Dual trade qualification in electrical/instrumentation is required, with a Cert III Electrotechnology and Cert III in Instrument and Control. Cert IV in Electrical – Instrumentation considered Cert IV in Hazardous Areas (EEHA) required, with expiration date out past mid-August 2026 Current LVR/CPR with expiration date out past mid-August 2026 Working at Heights, Confined Space and High-risk EWP licence (desirable).
