To find out more about our organisation visit www.millenniumsg.com The Role: As a Control Room Operator within a large-scale retail environment, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and monitoring daily site operations. You will be responsible for managing communications, monitoring systems and alarms, responding to incidents, and supporting the effective delivery of security services across the internal and external security environment of the site. This role requires strong situational awareness, ability to multi-task and prioritise work flows, clear communication skills, and the ability to make timely decisions, sometimes under pressure, to ensure operational continuity, safety, and service excellence at all times. ROSTER and EMPLOYMENT TYPE Part time: Saturday: 9:00AM-5:00PM, Sunday 10:00AM-5:00PM Key Responsibilities: Monitor site CCTV system and site activity to maintain safety, security, and compliance standards. Coordinate security teams across a large retail asset to ensure seamless service delivery. Respond to alarms, incidents, and service requests in real time, applying appropriate escalation procedures Maintain accurate operational logs, incident reports, and system records Liaise with site supervisor, clients, contractors, and emergency services as required Ensure strict adherence to operational procedures, policies, and safety protocols Support rostering, shift coverage, and workforce coordination to maintain optimal staffing levels and continuity of service Qualifications & Requirements: Previous experience in a large retail control room environment highly desirable, or in a similar operational environment such as Universities or a monitoring centre. Strong communication (written and oral) and multitasking skills Experienced with large scale CCTV, radio, and dispatch systems Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond quickly to incidents Computer literacy and report writing skills Ability to do shift work, including nights, weekends, and public holidays Security license 1A required, however a 1E highly desirable.
