Multiplex is currently undertaking early planning for the Canberra Lyric Theatre Project, which will deliver a landmark 2,000-seat new lyric theatre. This major redevelopment will transform the existing Canberra Theatre Centre precinct to better support international, national, and local performances, concerts, and events. Construction will be staged and carried out in a live environment, ensuring other venues at the Centre remain operational throughout. Based on-site, Contracts Administrators are responsible for the procurement of labour/sub-contractor services and financial activities with a focus on cash flow, profit maximisations, variations, reporting and administration. From fostering strong relationships with clients, sub-contractors, suppliers, and consultants, administering the Head Contract to financial reporting, this role operates in a dynamic environment and requires exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Together with relevant qualifications in commerce/finance/law or a related discipline, we would like candidates with experience in a commercial role within the construction (or related) industry. High level experience in Quantity Surveying/Estimating, understanding of tender processes, financial knowledge of construction costs and a good grounding in legal principles are essential for this role. We are also looking for an analytical mindset, strong problem‑solving skills, and excellent stakeholder management capabilities, particularly when working with suppliers, subcontractors and customers.
