Eden Ritchie Recruitment are seeking an experienced Manager, Policy and Implementation to lead the development, delivery and oversight of complex procurement policy and reform initiatives within a Queensland Government environment. This role sits within a specialist assurance and policy function responsible for driving procurement accountability, capability uplift and reform outcomes across government. The successful candidate will provide strong leadership across policy development, implementation programs and stakeholder engagement, while contributing to strategic decision-making at a senior level. Rate: Circa $97.00 per hour super Location: Brisbane Contract Length: approximately 4 months Key responsibilities Lead and oversee the development, implementation and review of whole-of-government procurement policies and frameworks Provide strategic advice to senior executives on policy impacts, risks and reform opportunities Lead and manage the delivery of portfolio strategies, projects and initiatives using best-practice project management methodologies Manage the development and delivery of training, capability-building and assurance initiatives to uplift procurement capability Prepare high-level ministerial and executive correspondence, briefs, submissions and project documentation Provide strategic and operational leadership, coaching and guidance to team members Lead stakeholder engagement and consultation with government agencies, industry and the broader community Establish and maintain strong relationships to identify emerging issues and support effective policy implementation What we are looking for Proven experience leading complex policy development, implementation and review activities Demonstrated experience managing high-priority, competing tasks in fast-paced environments Strong project management capability using recognised methodologies such as Agile or PRINCE2 Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing executive-level advice and briefings Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and resolve complex issues Desirable Experience working in procurement, assurance, regulatory or policy reform environments Experience engaging with industry and whole-of-government stakeholders This is a fantastic opportunity to influence statewide procurement reform while leading complex policy and implementation initiatives that deliver meaningful outcomes for Queensland.
