As the Account Director of Sponsorships & Consulting you’ll be the strategic partner to leading brands seeking to create memorable and measurable impact through sport and entertainment partnerships. This role is ideal for a big‑picture thinker with deep sponsorship expertise, strong industry relationships, and a passion for delivering innovative, insight‑driven brand experiences. You will lead a small team across strategy, insights, creative, talent, and event delivery to shape high‑value marketing solutions that elevate our clients’ success and strengthen MKTG’s market‑leading reputation. This is a hybrid role based in either our Melbourne or Sydney office. Core responsibilities: Guide brands, rights holders and clubs on how to unlock the full value of sport through strategic marketing and consultancy services, including sponsorship strategy, activation and event strategy, fan engagement strategy, and brand experience development. Lead client partnerships, ensuring exceptional service, integrated solutions, and consistent commercial performance. Oversee planning and delivery of sponsorship and event activation programs, coordinating cross‑functional teams (creative, insights, event production, talent, digital). Act as strategic lead on RFPs, pitch briefs and new business opportunities which require input from multiple stakeholders Work with Heads of all Departments to integrate best practice products and services into the solutions we create for the industry and our clients Build and maintain strong relationships with brands, rights holders, and industry partners to drive collaboration, innovation, and new business opportunities. Lead the financial management of client accounts, ensuring commercial growth and operational excellence. A bit about you: Ideally experience in sports or entertainment sponsorships, managing high‑profile brands, rights holders, or major events. Ability to develop and execute strategic brand partnership programs grounded in data, insights, and creative thinking. Strong industry network with the ability to unlock new opportunities and cultivate long‑term partnerships. Detail orientate, with strengths in strategy and account management, able to deliver measurable campaign outcomes.
