The Rail Delivery & Safety teamThe Rail Infrastructure Delivery Office is at the forefront of delivering transformative rail infrastructure across Queensland. As part of our team, you'll be contributing to:- Develop and implement policies, guidelines, procedures, programs and initiatives to support safety processes ensuring compliance with legislation and standards.- Implement the Project Safety Assurance activities.- Maintain oversight of safety assurance activities by contracted entities.- Prepare and present regular reports on safety assurance and management activities to project and program leadership teams.- Lead and support Project safety management activities, including risk assessment, safety observations and risk mitigation planning. What your day-to-day could look likeAbout you- Extensive experience working on large rail or infrastructure projects and working with relevant workplace health and safety acts, regulations, codes of practice, guidelines and AS/ISO standards.- Experience of working with regulatory bodies including the Office of the National Rail Safety Regulator (ONRSR), and the Office of the Federal Safety Commissioner (OFSC).- Demonstrated ability of excellent analytical skills to stay informed about safety activities, identify trends and risks in safety issues, and develop proactive strategies for issues management and mitigation.- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively plan, implement and manage safety activities, as well as to provide strategic advice to senior management.- Experience in ensuring that teams and processes are kept up to date on industry and legislative changes How to applyApply online via SmartJobs.
