About The Role Caritas is an inpatient mental health unit consisting of 6 high dependency beds and 21 acute admitted patient beds, providing safe and inclusive practices to adults who require acute mental health care. The unit consists of a team of nurses, doctors, and allied health staff who provide holistic and collaborative care during the inpatients acute phase of mental illness. Full support within a multidisciplinary team made up of consultant psychiatrists, psychiatric registrars, social workers, occupational therapists, psychologists, peer workers, and specialised mental health nurses. Provide expert clinical assessment, crisis intervention, and trauma-informed nursing care to patients in both acute and High Dependency (HDU) settings, ensuring safety and recovery through collaborative multidisciplinary teamwork. About You Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency. Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads within a complex environment. Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis in their daily practice as a registered nurse. Demonstrated ability to work within the interdisciplinary team using effective communication and interpersonal skills. Previous experience working within an acute mental health environment.
