The Opportunity The Senior Project Manager supports the planning and delivery of major complex energy projects through leading and overseeing project development and delivery activities, assisting with strategic direction and cultivating effective, collaborative stakeholder relationships. This role will support the delivery of VicGrid's WRL project. What you will deliver Lead the delivery and provide technical expertise in the development and delivery of large complex transmission infrastructure projects to time, scope, cost and quality requirements. Provide active professional direction in the management of works contracts, monitor contractor progress and effectively negotiate variations, claims and other issues. Ensure that the management of safety is paramount and implements industry best practice processes and procedures. Proactively identify and respond to issues and project risks, exercising excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to pre-empt and mitigate project risks. Build strong working relationships and negotiate with stakeholders, including project team members, quality standards, government, and community requirements. Provide leadership and guidance to motivate and develop a multidisciplinary team, maintaining efficiency, high performance in achieving project objectives. What you will bring Demonstrated experience and significant achievement in the delivery of large complex infrastructure projects, across a broad range of delivery models including D&C, alliance, PPP. Ideally have experience in the construction of transmission lines or high voltage substations. Proven experience in the identification and effective management of project risk, including development of proactive mitigation strategies. Demonstrated knowledge and experience of developing and maintaining a ‘safety first' culture.
