In this role, you will b e responsible for planning and executing the growth of VLC across Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania (and potentially the ACT), aligned with VLC’s Corporate Strategy. T his role r eport s to the Managing Director and currently leads a team of 12. In this position, y ou will need to w ork collaboratively across the business , often supporting the delivery of projects throughout Australia and New Zealand . Typical success factors of the role: Deliver annual revenue and profitability targets for the business unit , ensu ring sustainable and predictable business performance. Lead business development across the region, identifying new opportunities, nurturing client relationships and driving pipeline growth. E nsur e staff are appropriately deployed to achieve utilisation targets . Manage the performance of individuals within your team to ensure that staffing levels are appropriate , and quality work is delivered on time and bu dget. Build a positive team culture locally, ensuring collaboration and positive relationships across the firm. Leverage VLC’s systems and processes to ensure integrity in dealings and an appropriate risk management culture . Proactively position VLC in the market by building strategic relationships with clients, partners, contractors and industry bodies, and represent VLC at key industry events and forums. Highly desired qualities: Experience with consulting in disciplines of transport planning, modelling, infrastructure advisory, business case and/or economics . T rack record of managing and delivering consulting projects with a focu s on on-time delivery, budget and quality as viewed by the client. Confident people leadership skills with the ability to develop and su pport staff across our business. Highly developed networks across industry and a demonstrated a bility to expand our client base with state and local government with the ability to expand networks in geographical and service line growth areas.
