About the role This position is based in Brisbane, and the successful candidate will be required to enter into a Flexible Work Arrangement reflecting Brisbane as their primary office location. While the role allows for flexibility in working from home, regular in-person attendance at the Brisbane office is a mandatory requirement. This position will also require the ability to travel frequently and at short notice across the State. Key Outcomes and Accountabilities In this role you will be responsible for: Leading, training and mentoring the team members to ensure compliance with the Building Code of Australia, Australian Standards and QBCC policies, while providing expert technical advice to consumers, stakeholders and industry on building disputes. Providing assistance to approve scopes for the rectification of defective and incomplete residential construction work, managing contractor payments, and preparing and presenting evidence before tribunals and courts. Managing investigations and case files, including preparing detailed reports on defective building work, and administer regulatory requirements under the QBCC Act through disciplinary action and legislative interpretation. Mandatory Qualifications Eligible or currently hold a Builder's Licence from QBCC in Queensland.
