Full time maximum term role up to 12 months Salary range: $104,925 - $122,409 plus super Up to $15,900 in salary packaging, hybrid work arrangements About the role The AI Project and Engagement Coordinator plays a critical role in the execution and delivery of Victoria Legal Aid's (VLA) AI roadmap. This position will coordinate across VLA's AI team and embedded business teams like Legal Help, Digital Service and Strategy team and intake specialists, as well as external vendors to implement innovative, responsible and technically sound AI-driven solutions that improve service delivery and enhance access to justice for all Victorians. This position will support in driving projects across the full lifecycle including pilot's design, implementation, evaluation and full rollout, providing high-level oversight of project milestones, ensuring seamless cross-functional collaboration and supporting regular reporting to steering committees. It will also play a key role in engagement activities across the lifecycle, from solution co-design through training, pilot participation, feedback and evaluation. This role is based at our Melbourne CBD office on Wurundjeri Country. About you As our ideal candidate, you will possess: Demonstrated experience in project and change management across multiple parallel projects and within cross-functional environments, including embedding new processes and uplifting capability. Proven ability to engage and collaborate effectively with a range of technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand their needs, communicate throughout the project and drive outcomes. Experience in stakeholder engagement: running workshops, interactive sessions and other activities, gathering and consolidating feedback, and developing training collateral to support project and operational needs Experience coordinating third-party vendors: monitoring SLAs, performance, and ensuring timely handovers and knowledge transfer throughout AI solution pilot and rollout. Proven track record in coordinating multiple projects, managing competing priorities, and delivering outcomes through a clear, structured project management approach. Skilled in applying methodologies that ensure clarity, accountability, and sustained momentum across diverse stakeholder groups. General understanding of data pipelines, AI and ADM workflows, and an ability to translate between business needs and technical requirements.
