A major essential services organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Specialist to support a high-performing procurement and category management function during a period of increased sourcing activity. Key Details Role: Senior Procurement Specialist Contract Length: 6 months (with potential extension) Start: ASAP (pending checks) Rate: $750–$850/day super Location: Parramatta (Hybrid working model) 3 days onsite / 2 days WFH Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week) About the Role You will deliver best-in-class procurement support, driving value-for-money outcomes through strategic sourcing, commercial negotiation, and contract lifecycle management. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you will provide guidance across procurement processes, governance, and supplier performance to ensure critical business needs are met. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end sourcing activities from strategy through to contract award Provide commercial advice and procurement governance support to business stakeholders Develop and implement category and sourcing initiatives aligned to organisational strategy Manage contract performance, variations, renewals, and supplier relationships Support evaluation planning, negotiation, and value-for-money outcomes Ensure compliance with procurement frameworks, probity, and reporting requirements About You To be successful, you will bring: 5 years’ experience in procurement or commercial management within a large, complex organisation Strong strategic sourcing and contract negotiation capability Proven experience managing contracts across the full lifecycle Advanced stakeholder engagement and business partnering skills High-level analytical and documentation skills Ability to deliver outcomes in a fast-paced, governance-driven environment Desirable Experience SAP or SAP Ariba procurement systems exposure Experience with NEC4 or Government-style IT/commercial contracts Background in infrastructure, utilities, or public-sector aligned environments
