Overview: We are seeking an experienced IT contract recruiter to work directly with Milestone IT, with a strong focus on filling contract roles quickly and effectively. This role is delivery driven and suited to someone who understands the IT contracting market, can assess technical capability with confidence, and operates well with autonomy. You will be responsible for owning contract vacancies end to end, engaging closely with clients, and consistently delivering high quality, job ready IT consultants. This is a hands on role for someone who thinks fast, acts decisively, and values outcomes over process. Key Responsibilities: • Manage the full lifecycle of IT contract recruitment roles from briefing through to placement • Rapidly source, qualify, and submit high quality IT contractors across a range of technical disciplines • Develop a strong understanding of client environments, project drivers, and delivery timelines • Conduct detailed candidate assessments focused on technical capability, contract readiness, and cultural fit • Present candidates who are immediately deployable and aligned to client expectations • Attend client sites from time to time to build relationships and deepen account knowledge • Operate independently day to day while collaborating closely with the business owner on priority roles • Maintain momentum on live vacancies and manage multiple contract roles concurrently • Represent the business professionally and credibly in all client and candidate interactions Required Experience and Skills: • Extensive experience in IT recruitment with a strong focus on contract roles • Solid understanding of IT domains such as infrastructure, cloud, software development, data, DevOps, and enterprise platforms • Proven track record of filling IT contract roles in competitive and time sensitive environments • Strong technical questioning and qualification skills beyond keyword matching • Confidence dealing with hiring managers, project leads, and senior stakeholders • Commercial awareness of rates, margins, and contract structures • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities effectively Personal Attributes: • Smart, sharp, and commercially astute • Quick thinking and decisive under pressure • Confident, direct, and comfortable challenging assumptions when required • High energy with a strong sense of ownership and accountability • Professional, credible, and relationship focused What the Role Offers: • Direct access to decision making and leadership • Autonomy and trust to deliver without micromanagement • Exposure to high quality contract clients and complex IT programs • A performance focused environment that rewards delivery and judgement Please contact Ethan Anderson on 0390971238 for a confidential discussion.
