About the Team The Property Team provide property and facilities and property project management services and specified corporate services (including mail, Cabcharge and stationery) for the Commission's offices nationally. The Property Team work with the Commission's WoAG appointed Property Services Provider (PSP) to deliver effective property and facilities management services nationally. On a strategic level, the role of the Property Team on a 24/7 and 365 day basis is to ensure the provision of a safe, secure and enjoyable workspace environment for staff, visitors and third parties across the Commission's offices. The Property Team are a small, dispersed team with team members based in all of the Commission's offices, excluding the Darwin and Perth offices. About the Role The purpose of this position is to assist the Director Property & Business Resilience to lead and direct the national property and facilities functions within the Commission, including leading property policy, capital works and office relocation projects nationally. The key duties of the position include Assist the Director with the strategic operation of the Property team and development of strategic responses, including the management and delivery of property capital works projects, including new office fit outs and refurbishments. Provide authoritative expert advice to the Director and senior executive team on complex property and facilities issues, including management and acquisition of property, workspace management and property projects, and routinely advise senior stakeholders on property issues and recommended solutions. Lead the day-to-day BAU property and facilities management operations nationally with support from the Senior Property Officer, including contract management of the Property Services Provider (PSP) to improve efficiencies and service outcomes. Manage property related procurements and contracts and associated contract management in compliance with Commission policies and procedures and Commonwealth Procurement Rules. Provide leadership and support to team individuals to assist them to achieve their potential and contribute to organisational goals and outcomes via performance development assessment plans. Pro-actively build and maintain positive relationships with senior executives, peers and stakeholders across the organisation and externally.
