About the role As the Risk Advisory Manager – Advice, you will partner with the Advice Business to provide valued risk and compliance advice, safeguarding UniSuper through effective controls assurance and oversight. You’ll work closely with Line 1 partners to shape, influence, and challenge risk and compliance thinking, supporting the implementation of risk frameworks and fostering a risk-aware culture. Key Responsibilities: Provide oversight, challenge, and subject matter expertise on Line 1 risk and assurance activities (risk management, control assurance, incident management, emerging risks). Develop and mature risk capability with Line 1 partners, translating risk theory into better member outcomes. Build strong relationships and actively participate in Advice forums, elevating the quality of risk discussions. Oversee major projects and BAU changes to ensure risk is appropriately considered, assessed, and reported. Deliver independent insight into business risks, elevate risk insights, and contribute to executive and board-level reporting. Support the development and embedding of enterprise-wide risk frameworks in daily operations. Act as a key liaison for training, education, and support between business and specialist teams within Risk and Legal. About you Experience & Qualifications: Extensive professional experience in enterprise risk and/or compliance. Deep knowledge of financial planning processes. Understanding of legislative and regulatory frameworks in superannuation, funds management, advice, or financial services. Experience partnering with business teams to embed risk and compliance, balancing commercial and strategic objectives. Strong stakeholder engagement and business partnering experience, ideally within superannuation or financial services. Ability to influence across all levels of the organization. Relevant accreditations in Risk, Compliance, or Financial Planning preferred.
